Incredible $30 Map-Making Humble Bundle Represents a Virtual Tabletop GM's Dream

Following a short availability earlier this year, the Map Making Mega Bundle is back for a limited time available through early December. Hailed as a "treasure trove of assets and apps" developed by ProFantasy Software throughout their history, the entire collection is valued at more than thirteen hundred dollars. Additionally, there exist three different bundles available here.

Primary Feature

The standout feature is certainly a lifetime license to the CC3+ software, an industry-standard cartography program which enables users to generate various types including epic fantasy landscapes, smaller regional maps, city maps, and, perhaps most importantly, dungeon and tabletop battle maps.

Bundle Tiers

Basic Package

The cheapest bundle tier, at a minimum cost of $1, includes only four of the 39 total items: Symbol Set 1: Fantasy Overland, Token Treasury: Monsters 1, Source Maps: Castles!, Urban Source Maps. This one's only for cartographers who already have CC3+, yet it provides new fantasy symbol styles for landscape mapping, more than 750 monster tokens compatible with online gaming platforms, more than two dozen top-down castle layouts including hundreds of map markers, eight fully mapped cities, plus seventy-plus building interiors.

Intermediate Package

The eight-product collection starting at fifteen dollars is where things get more interesting by adding in a lifetime CC3+ license, Cartographer's Annual Vol 1, Ultimate Mapping Guidebook, and Symbol Set 6: Isometric Cities. Cartographer's Annual is the annual collection from ProFantasy's long-running monthly subscription service featuring a variety CC3+ add-ons like map collections and various other tools. Isometric Cities lets you present urban areas in 3D perspective with isometric views from multiple angles. And the Tome of Ultimate Mapping comprises 760 pages for beginners and "power users" alike, full of tips and tutorials for the map-making process.

Every volume from the Annual series come with this bundle, alongside a slew of other resource and asset packs enabling creators to craft complete solar systems, or focus exclusively on traditional fantasy world-building: battle maps, underground complexes, urban centers, and continents in multiple viewpoints. Users can also create character illustrations. For $30 as opposed to $15, the complete collection offers tremendous value, particularly for mappers who have only the annual CC3+ license seeking permanent licensing. However, it's clearly more advantageous for cartography beginners since it includes introductory guides to help you get started. The sole limitation is that while the purchase is available on any platform, the applications only function on Windows.

Charitable Component

Similar to previous bundles, a portion of each sale goes to benefit a nonprofit. In this instance, that's Save the Children, established in 1919 by Eglantyne Jebb focused on improving the lives of children worldwide via educational programs, medical services, and crisis response.
